Connect, Protect, Simplify. The HP StorageWorks Media Vault Pro provides a simple solution for small businesses for secure, automatic on-site backup and file sharing – without IT personnel. Data management is not just about protecting your data – it’s about connecting users to your data – accessing files remotely, and sharing data to collaborate within your office and remotely with vendors and customers. With easy-to-use software you can automatically backup important files every time you make changes to those files. Hard drive images of each PC in your office can be preserved on the Media Vault Pro for quick restoration of failed PC hard drives using the included software. Shared directories on the Media Vault Pro may be accessed by all or selected users on your network, with or without password protection – you’re in charge with the easy-to-use browser-based administration interface. The system comes with two 750GB hard drives, providing up to 1.5 Terabyte of storage. Easily configure your HP Media Vault Pro to mirror all data stored on the first hard drive to the second hard drive. In this mode (RAID 1), should one hard drive experience a hardware failure, the other drive will continue to provide your stored data. As soon as the failed hard drive is replaced, the mirrored data is automatically copied to the new hard drive. This mode provides 750GB of shared storage while dramatically reducing the likelihood of losing data to failed hardware. Now that’s protection!
The HP Media Vault Pro is easy Network Storage. It is best suited for small businesses or workgroups that need to protect critical business files and other data on their PCs, and may want a central location to share files with client PCs on their network.
